It's the half time show! We are 50 + days into the The 100 day project #the100dayproject! Whoop Whoop!
I have loved playing and following along. I am always amazed at just how crazy creative people are. So impressed.
Here is a little round up of some of my favourites that I would like to share with you.
Mine first because I am writing the blog!
My #sketchbook_studies project is coming along nicely. Thanks you! I have explored gouache paint, some new flowers and abstract compositions, pattern making and color play. I am having quite a bit of fun with it and have managed to use a bit of what I have learned and created in some of my art licensing projects which is a win win for me.
Next we have Alli VanGruen, my friend and neighbour here in Whistler. She has taken on #100daysofmepainting Above we have her chair series which I love, love, love, but she also has some wonderful animals and portraits. If you look closely through her feed you may even find a painted one of me! In a bikini no less..
Illustrated food is always a favourite of mine. Janice Law of @100eats is doing just that for her project #100_eats. Lots of great images and lovely dark backgrounds.
Botanical loveliness and awesome color is what Pauline is all about for her project #100daysofgreenery. Love all of her sketchy, stamped and painted images.
Heather had me at Aloha for her project #100daysofpaintingaloha She inspires me to pick up a paintbrush and paint bold, colourful scenes from my happy place. I have yet to do so, but for now will happily spend my time looking through her feed.
Next up we have Rebecca and her project #100daysofredart. A lovely mixture of collage and pen work on watercolour paper. I love all of her shapes and linework. She manages to keep it all beautiful while leaving just the right amount of white space.
Ali of Very Berry Handmade creates compositions using material, coloured threads and pattern to create #100daysofcuratedcolor. I love all the texture and color combinations she comes up with. I also love things organized nicely into flatlays.
Finally we have Lisa and her project #100daysoabstractstorybook. So much wonderful color and mark making. Every time I look at them I find something new to see. Her project is actually 900 + days long! She has an instagram feed full of inspirational goodness.
These are just a few of the awesome creative projects going on. Pop on over to the hashtag #the100dayproject for more inspiration.
Enjoy the week everyone! I hope you have a bit of time to pull out the paintbrushes:)
