COME AND CREATE WITH ME IN ITALY

I am very excited to announce that I will be teaching a workshop in the Le Marche region of Italy next September 2025. It came as a surprise when Madeline, the lovely host of it all, reached out to me. I have been teaching lots of online workshops to date, but had yet to teach an in person retreat. This has definitely been on my mind and I may even have it written down on my vision board sooo…despite the feeling of trepidation I had to say a big YES!

I am always encouraging others to play and experiment, make bold changes and be open to possibility. In Art as in Life. So, here I am showing up and I hope you will join me.

During our week together we will gather and document inspiration from our surroundings. We will be abstracting out these elements into work that excites and inspires us. We will paint, collage and play with all of the mixed media materials. We will explore color palettes and composition and discuss all of the applications for our art from art journaling to surface pattern design to wall art.

My goal will be to encourage you to shift your creative lens and focus on creating art that you love.

If there is one thing I have learned from attending art retreats is that being surrounded by others, all in different stages of our art journey is a very inspiring place to be. The willingness of others to share their thoughts, their techniques and lessons learned is my favorite. I love watching the interactions between new found friends and the enthusiasm of a group all with a common interest - making lots of art!
